Brenda Ann Cathey

    Funeral services for Brenda Ann Cathey, age 66, of Lamesa, TX. will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Granado officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Brenda passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Lamesa, TX. 
    She was born on March 10, 1956 in Lamesa, TX. 
    She was preceded in death by, her mother, Rosa Lopez Chavira; Joe Ortiz, Linda Ramirez, Travis Esparza.
    Brenda was a Christian.  She worked for the Lamesa ISD for over 18 years, then worked as a caregiver for about 11 years. She loved her family, enjoyed Gospel music, and watching TV.
    Brenda is survived by her significant-other, Joe Granado of Lamesa, TX.; her sons, Cody Alan Granado, and Julio Guerrero, both of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Brenda Guerrero of Houston, TX.; her brother, George Ortiz of Lamesa, TX.; her sisters, Sue Morales, Verna Chavez, Shannon Esparza, all of Lamesa, TX., and Lynette Esparza of Idaho; several relatives and friends.
