The Feed One Food Bank, based at First Baptist Church, is in need of volunteers.The food bank will be holding its monthly distribution of food to local residents from 1 to 4 p.m. this coming Tuesday.“We normally feed between 800 and 1,000 people each month,” said Risa Coleman, director of the food bank. “That’s between 300 and 350 families.”Ideally, Coleman said, they need 15-20 people to make everything run smoothly and not over-extend the volunteers distributing literally thousands of pounds of food.Last month they had only six people working for much of the time – finally getting a few more ...
