Bennie Clark

    Bennie Wayne Clark of O’Donnell passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 86.  
    He was born August 2, 1935, in Lamesa to Lewis and Clara (Ensor) Clark.  Bennie graduated from O’Donnell High School and married Shirley Gass on July 4, 1954, in Ropesville, Texas.
    He worked as a farmer and rancher.  He enjoyed playing golf, was a talented well-rounded athlete, and a friend to anyone he met.  Bennie’s pride and joy in life was being a Poppy to his grandchildren.  
    Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Shirley; daughters, Perri Clark of O’Donnell, Vicki Vogler, and husband Leroy of Lamesa, Traci Read and husband Mike of Littlefield, and Milete Klinkerman and husband Marc of Pearland; sister, Patsy Sanders of O’Donnell; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Bennie was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sabrina Clark; and siblings, Glen Clark, Juanita Snellgrove, Bobby Clark, and Gearldean Vestal.
    A come and go visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Combest Family Funeral Homes, O’Donnell.
     Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2022, at the O’Donnell Cemetery.
