Gearldean Vestal

    Gearldean Clark Vestal (O’Donnell) entered Glory and the Presence of Her Lord on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was 97 years old.  
    Gearldean was born to Lewis Henry and Clara Francis Ensor Clark on May 25, 1924.  She attended schools at the OK Community and at O’Donnell.  In 1941, she married Gurnie E. Vestal of O’Donnell. 
    Gearldean was a homemaker and farmer, and she was passionate about her family and her beautiful yard and flowers.  She enjoyed seeing her work flourish each season with the beautiful assortment of colors and variety of flowers.  Gearldean was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her visits with lifetime friends, schoolmates and appreciated a special host of nieces and nephews and caretakers who made her feel so very special.
    Gearldean is survived by two daughters: Donna Vestal Forbes of O’Donnell and Linda Faye Vestal Baird and husband Ross Baird of Hereford.  Grandchildren include Don and Penny Forbes family, Stanley and Shannon Forbes family, Rhonda and Brian Kingston family, all of O’Donnell, Jana and Chris Duncan family of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Jerry and Erin Baird family of Hereford.  Gearldean had 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren showcasing 8 sets of 5 generations.  Surviving Siblings include Benny Wayne Clark and wife Shirley Clark and Patsy Clark Sanders of O’Donnell.
    Gearldean was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Henry Clark and Clara Francis Ensor Clark; her husband Gurnie E. Vestal; her sister Juanita Snellgrove and husband Bill Snellgrove; her brother Glen Clark and wife Margie Clark; her brother Bobby Ray Clark and wife Caroline Clark; her brother-in-law Harold Sanders; and her son-in-law Mack Forbes – all of O’Donnell.
    A come-and-go visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Combest Family Funeral Homes, O’Donnell.  Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at the O’Donnell Cemetery.  
    The family suggests Memorials to the O’Donnell Volunteer Fire Department (P.O. Box 84, O’Donnell, TX 79351) and thank them for their friendship and special care.
