About 40 farmers from across the area were in attendance at the annual South Mesa Agricultural Conference held Thursday at the LeeRoy Colgan community building. Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office here, the conference featured information about weeds, reducing pesticide applications plant pathogens, the cotton economy and the best crops to plant after a cotton crop fails.
