Wanda Wise

    Graveside service for Wanda Rose Wise, 89, of Lamesa, will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Dee Woolam officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Wanda passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Lubbock. 
    She was born January 11, 1932 in Lynn County, TX. to Harry Bennett and Nannie Lea (Light) Crutcher. 
    She played basketball in high school, was a wonderful cook and couldn’t swim to save her life, but loved getting on a boat to go fishing. Wanda enjoyed many trips with her sisters but most of all… loved gardening in her yard.
    Wanda is survived by her children, Wayne Brown and wife Jan of Lubbock, and Cynthia Guyer of Lamesa; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Bowen of Amarillo, Una Kunkle of Austin, and Betty Brandon of San Angelo.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Walton and three brothers.
    The family suggests memorials to Northside Baptist Church, 406 N. 12th St., Lamesa, Texas 79331.
