Both the Sands Mustangs and O’Donnell Eagles basketball boys finished the Holiday Hoopapalooza basketball tournament at Ackerly last weekend with something to smile about.Sands started the day Saturday with a 58-56 upset of Rankin, which was ranked 16th in the state in Class 1A last week by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.“Our guys did a good job of running our press, which helped us get a lot of steals and turnovers.
