Betty O'Brien

    Memorial service for Betty O’Brien, 89, of Lamesa, will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Medley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Betty passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Lamesa. 
    She was born March 11, 1932 in Lamesa, TX. to John Hugh and Mamie (Hyatt) Foster. Betty married Joe Eldon O’Brien on November 22, 1951 at Klondike Baptist Church.  They were married 65 years. 
    Betty was a life-long resident of the Patricia and Klondike communities. She was a member of Klondike Baptist Church.  She loved children and taught Sunday School for many years.
    Betty is survived by her children, Donna Trammel and husband Roger of Buffalo Springs, Janna Hightower and husband, Charlie of Patricia, and Foy O’Brien and wife, Kelley of Patricia; brother, Kennith Foster of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren, Brant Stewart of Lamesa, Brien Stewart of Lubbock, Lance Stewart of Austin, Trent Hightower of Austin, Tayla Hightower Craig of Magnolia, Mason O’Brien of Canyon and Cooper O’Brien of Patricia; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. 
    She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
