A proposal to temporarily close a portion of a major travel artery in Lamesa and action to formally discontinue a proposed apartment project here are among the items that will be considered by the Lamesa City Council this week.The council’s regular monthly meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.One of the items to be considered is the possible closure of a five-block section of Bryan Ave. (Hwy. 137) through Lamesa while work is underway to relocate and replace water and sewer lines in that area.The proposal would close the Bryan Ave. between N. 4th St. and S.
