Vera Fairweather

    Funeral service for Vera Fairweather, 73,  of Lamesa will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Barkowsky officiating under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
    Visitation will follow the service.
    Vera passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Lamesa. 
    She was born February  29, 1948 to Robert and Mabel Weatherby in Tahoka, Texas. She graduated High School from Hobbs, New Mexico and married Donnie Fairweather of Lamesa.  She enjoyed 45 years of work at Lamesa National Bank where she made many lifelong friends and cheerfully served the community. 
    In her spare time, Vera enjoyed reading, movies, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her rescue cats. 
    Vera  is survived by her son, Shawn Fairweather of Bedford, Texas; sisters Mary Lee Claborn of Post, Texas and Katie Sloan of Grenada, Mississippi. 
    She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mabel Weatherby, husband Donnie Fairweather, and sister Joyce Bullard of Lamesa.
