ANDREWS – A move from the state to all online assessments for school children resulted in the need for a change in technological devices for a portion of Andrews Independent School District (AISD) elementary school aged children.A change in Chromebooks for third through fifth graders was approved Tuesday night by the school board.Formerly, that age group - along with younger elementary students who still do - used iPads in the school district’s one-to-one technology program.But a recent move by the state scheduled to be implemented next school year necessitated the change, according to central office administrators.“With the state’s emphasis on ...
