SEMINOLE – Reports from the South Plains Health District for Sept. 1 indicate that Gaines County had 127 active cases of COVID-19 last week. Also of concern, by many, is the low number of county residents who have received vaccines to combat the virus.According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Gaines County’s COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker, as of Sept. 1, reported 4,309 residents or 21.20 percent of the county’s population, have had at least one dose of the vaccine.
