ANDREWS – The city erected half a dozen signs at Lakeside Park this week to caution residents about a possible blue-green algae bloom in the city lake. Specifically, the signs urged residents to keep pets and children away from the lake water. Blue-green algae impacted water can be toxic to dogs if ingested. Humans can also be susceptible to skin rash if contact is made or illness if water is ingested.
