Citing the need to unify as a group, Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) board members did a turnaround when considering the district’s tax rate during a special meeting Tuesday. Instead of raising the tax rate by eight cents, as proposed last week in a split 3-2 vote, the board unanimously agreed to keep the tax rate the same as last year’s rate of 40.5028 cents per $100 valuation.
