The Klondike Cougars gave new head volleyball coach Katie Cruz her first win at the helm of the program Tuesday afternoon as they spiked the Class 2A Forsan Buffaloes, 25-7, 25-15 and 25-10, at Big Spring. “Everything went pretty smooth. Our girls did a good job of keeping their energy level up,” Cruz said. “We liked the way that our girls came out. Our girls were very aggressive and we just liked the way that our girls competed today.” Juniors Bella Stevens and Izabella Arismendez led the Cougars’ attack. Stevens had six kills.
