Both Lamesa and Klondike have new high school volleyball coaches, and it’s not taking long for them to get a good impression of the players who will be making up their teams. “Of course we’re a little out of shape, but that’s what that early morning practice is about – conditioning,” said Lamesa Coach Gaby Nichols, who welcomed 40 high school girls to the first day of practice. “You’re always glad to have that first day behind you.
