The Borden County Coyotes have grabbed more than their share of headlines on the sports pages in recent years. That continues, as a pair of Borden County athletes have earned statewide honors on the baseball diamond after leading the Coyotes to a highly successful season this past spring in Class 1A. Having earlier earned third team all-state honors in the outfield from the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association, Trey Edwards was recognized as second-team all-state from the Texas Sports Writers Association.
