New Dawson Dragons head football coach and athletic director Corey Savage believes one of the first steps in building any successful program is building relationships.
“The Xs and Os are always a big part of it but before that is just making sure your kids know that you love them and always have their backs,” Savage said of coaching.
Savage spent his first 12 years as a high school coach at Leonard, northeast of Dallas. Savage graduated from high school at Leonard in 1993 after being a standout for the Tigers in football, basketball and baseball.
