Dawson County officials are still tallying the damage to county-owned facilities resulting from the June 26 storm which hit Lamesa with high winds, hail, heavy rain and flooding.
Among the hardest-hit county facilities were the probation offices located in the courthouse annex building in the 600 block of N. 1st St., according to County Judge Foy O’Brien
“We’re still assessing the damage in the probation offices,” O’Brien said during the Dawson County Commissioners Court meeting this past Tuesday.
“The bills are going to be quite high. We really don’t know where we are on that just yet.”
