Lamesa school board members are crossing their fingers in hopes they may not need to spent $1.2-million to purchase two modular buildings to serve as classroom spaces at the middle school.
The facilities may be needed while the building is being repaired from the June 26 storm that also damaged other school facilities here.
Lamesa school board members during a special meeting Tuesday authorized administrators to purchase the module buildings as insurance if it is appears the middle school building may not be not repaired by the start of school on Aug. 16.
