It probably wasn’t the way Malachi Salazar and his girlfriend, Karina Osorio, wanted to return home. But when they heard about Lamesa’s need after last weekend’s storm that a resulted in downed power lines, uprooted trees and flooded homes, the couple headed back to their hometown. They didn’t come emptyhanded. They brought with them 2.5 pallets of bottled water, clothing, diapers, air mattresses, and non-perishable food. “We are down in Fort Worth,” Salazar said. “Lamesa is our hometown.
