Lamesa firefighters used one of the department’s trucks on Monday to rescue the drivers of both a tractor-trailer rig and a small car that became stranded in flood waters covering U.S. Highway 180 about 10 miles east of Lamesa.  Highway 180 is also closed to traffic just west of Lamesa because of flooding.
