SEMINOLE – The Gaines County Community Resource Group is busy planning for “Got Character” Camp 2021, scheduled for July 13-15. This year marks the 22nd year of the camp, open to Gaines County youth ages 11-15 at no cost.
The three-day event provides an opportunity for youth to develop good character and problem-solving skills while having fun.
Character Camp is based on the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Subtopics consist of honesty, integrity, reliability (promise-keeping), loyalty, courtesy, dignity, tolerance and acceptance, accountability, the pursuit of excellence, self-restraint, impartiality and equity.
