The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Monday, June 14 12:28 a.m. – An officer was reported to be in pursuit of a black vehicle on Ave. P. The vehicle crossed Bryan Ave. and turned south on Ave. I. The vehicle reportedly turned its lights out but the chase continued through various parts of town. At 12:30 a.m. the officer reported the vehicle was in a crash at Highland Dr. and Cherry Lane. A wrecker was requested. An 18-year-old male was released to a guardian.
