Lamesa City Council members during their regular meeting Tuesday accepted an audit report for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Tyler Canady, an accountant with Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert and Moss of Lubbock, presented the audit report that showed the city’s financial practices were in good standing. He did advise the council to take a look at making improvements to the accounting department. “That’s really what I want to express,” Canady said. “I appreciate that,” responded Mayor Josh Ste vens. “It’s an issue we will be looking into.” The issue is about funds and dates.
