Increasing spending for various programs and setting aside $100,000 for future development of a new industrial park, directors of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) approved a 2021-2022 budget which projects spending to exceed revenue by about $120,000.
If needed, money can be pulled from LEDC’s “nest egg” in savings accounts, said Lee Peterson, executive director of the LEDC and the Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP).
New budgets for both LEDC and LEAP were approved Monday evening during a joint regular meeting of the boards for both local economic development agencies.
