Bailey Boles, a recent honor graduate of Lamesa High School, has been named this year’s recipient of the $2,000 Buckel-Kiwanis Club Scholarship. Bailey is the daughter of Tina and Sanford Boles. She plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Natural Resources Management. Originally called the Walter and Rubye Buckel Scholarship, the award was established in 1999 by friends and associates of Walter Buckel, longtime publisher of the Lamesa Press-Reporter.
