Cari Lyn Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turner of Lamesa, graduated from Texas Tech University in May with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Language, Diversity and Literacy Studies. Carter currently works as the Scholarship and Fellowship Administrator in the Graduate School at Texas Tech University. She will transition into a new position as a Professor of Practice at Texas Tech University beginning this fall.
