Seven employees with the Lamesa Independent School District who are retiring after a combined total of 169 years of service in education have recently been recognized by the district.
Each retireee was presented with a retirement gift which included a brass nameplate engraved with their name and years of service.
The gifts, selected by the employees from a range of options offered by the district, included a wooden rocking chairs, a globe, and a clock.
