Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) board members retired their president Thursday before swearing in an incumbent, an appointee and a newly-elected member into office.
Board President Kim Bairrington attended her last meeting as head of the hospital district board. She lost her bid to serve a second two-year term after being defeated by Nicky Chapman for the at-large position in the May 1 election.
Chapman; Mike Johnson, who won in an unchallenged race to keep his Precinct 3 seat; and David Sanderson, recently appointed to the board and then elected without opposition, took the oath of office.
