In the same way they dominated the District 3-3A competition, the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes also ruled the all-district softball team.
The 26-8 Golden Tornadoes outscored their 3-3A opponents by a combined margin of 89-13 in their 10 league games. They dominated the all-district squad putting six players on the first-team.
Those honors include the district’s Co-MVPs, junior pitcher Jadeyn Merrill and sophomore pitcher Laila Vasquez.
“Our girls worked hard to make a name for themselves. We ended up setting the bar high this season,” Coach Vanessa Hernandez said.
