For middle school students making the transition into high school, it can be a daunting task as freshmen beginning on the bottom of the academic totem pole again.
That’s why Lamesa High School counselor Amy Baker is meeting with all current eighth graders. She will visit with them in their classrooms Tuesday to help them begin the high school scheduling process.
Baker also will meet with eighth graders’ parents or guardians. That meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.
