Borden County High School finished as the overall runnerup in the Class 1A Region 1 University Interscholastic League Academics Spring Meet held last Saturday, April 17, at Lubbock Christian University. Borden County accumulated 165 points to finish second only to Nazareth, which racked up 243 points for top overall honors at the regional level. Thirty-one schools had students place at the regional contest. Borden County had 25 students competing at the regional level, with seven of those now advancing to the state academic meet.
