SNYDER – Scurry County commissioners on Tuesday agreed to hold a public hearing on a restructured payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement with IP Lumina for two solar farms that are planned for northern Scurry County. The company had originally requested a larger tax abatement, but approached the court Tuesday with a different structured agreement instead. The county will receive $540 per megawatt per year for years 1-5 of the abatement and $1,540 per megawatt per yea for years 6-10 of the abatement.
