The time of games rooms in Lamesa is over - at least for now. Lamesa Chief of Police Josh Peterson told city council members Tuesday that the last game room here was closed after inspections found illegal gambling. “As of right now, all the games rooms are shut down,” Peterson said. “I’m hoping that will help tremendously with the things that have been going on.” Two detectives visited the business, located in the 300 block of N.
