Less than six months after hiring an out-of-town company to mow 11 municipal parks twice a month, Lamesa City Council members Tuesday night unanimously agreed to give 30-day notice canceling the contract and denying payment to the contractor for any recent work. Council members agreed last fall to hire the company, Pathfinder Industries of Lubbock, to mow the parks for $10,400 per month.
