Apparently, going to state in one UIL event wasn’t enough for Sands’ junior Lakyn Sandlin.
Sandlin already qualified for state last week in One-Act Play. Now she’s also going to state in golf. But it wasn’t easy.
After a thrilling finish Tuesday evening in the Region I-1A Golf Tournament, Sandlin found herself in a two-way tie with Motley County’s Kylee Jones at the end of regulation play for the region’s third individual spot from a non-qualifying team.
