Athletes wanting to compete in either volleyball or kickball have the opportunity during next Saturday’s Chicken Fried Steak Festival activities. Teams are currently being accepted for both athletic activities. The first annual volleyball tournament and the kickball game will be conducted at Forrest Park beginning at 10 a.m. Advance registration is $50 per team with at least six players for the volleyball tournament. The cost rises to $60 on game day. For the kickball tournament, the cost is $75 per team with a minimum of nine players per team. The City of Lamesa is sponsoring both events.
