The number of active COVID-19 cases here has crept back up slightly after dropping to a low of only one a couple of weeks ago. With one new case confirmed this week, Dawson County currently has three active cases, according to an update posted Tuesday evening by the South Plains Public Health District. Dawson County has not see any additional deaths linked to the virus in over a month.
