Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday approved the purchase of a new Mack truck for just over $115,000.
To be used by the road department, the truck is being purchased from Grande Truck Center in San Antonio through the Houston-Galveston Area Council purchasing cooperative.
Stanley Gass, the county’s road maintenance supervisor, said the new truck will be used to supplement the county’s current fleet after one of the current trucks developed engine troubles.
