Dawson County as a government entity took in almost $625,000 more than it spent during the 2020 fiscal year which ended this past Sept. 30.
That’s one of the findings in the annual financial audit presented Tuesday to the Dawson County Commissioners Court.
Certified Public Accountant Roger Tovar, audit senior manager in Abilene with the firm of Eide Bailly, presented the audit and complimented county officials.
He said the county received an “unmodified opinion” on the audit.
“That’s exactly what you want to be getting. That’s what you are getting,” Tovar told the commissioners court.
