Although it was delayed a few months due to COVID-19, last year’s Springtime Shine Car Show drew more than 140 entries and filled up more than half of Lamesa’s downtown square.
Adding several activities and expanding the event to two days, organizers are expecting an even larger show this year.
“It’s not a stretch to say we expect 200 cars this year, said Jaime Galindo, member of the local Nuestro Car Club which sponsors the event as a fundraiser for Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornado Band.
