The Golden Tornado baseball squad notched its eighth win of the season Friday evening at Big Spring as part of the West Texas March Classic, holding off Class 6A Midland High’s JV, 10-5, in a reunion of sorts. Golden Tor head coach Bobby Alvarez was coached Midland High’s JV for nine years before taking the head job here four years ago.
