Locals shined in last Thursday’s season-opening junior high track meet at Denver City.
Lamesa’s eighth grade track girls placed second as a team by rolling up 147 points.
Roslynn Rodriguez won the eighth grade girls 800 with a time of 2:48.11, the 1,600 with a time of 6:31.74, and the 2,400 in 9:50.81.
Zoey Sifuentes won the eighth grade girls’ 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.46 and the long jump with a leap of 13-10.
Hai’Leigh Ramirez won the eighth grade girls shot put with a throw of 29-3.
Kali Campos won the seventh grade girls’ long jump with a jump of 12-6 ½.
