In the Lamesa school system it is now a personal option among teachers and students as to whether they wear masks or not. That was the Lamesa school board’s decision during a special meeting at noon Tuesday. The board’s unanimous decision about masks comes a week after Texas Governor Greg Abbott rescinded the mandatory mask rule for people in public or when social distancing is not possible.
