House fire under investigation

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of a pre-dawn blaze Saturday morning that destroyed a Lamesa home. No one was injured in the fire, as owner Lydia Aguilar had spent the night in Lubbock. A dog, however, was found to have died in the home at 1010 S. 6th St. Arriving while firefighters were still working to extinguish the flames, Aguilar said she believed the fire might have been started intentionally by someone who has been harassing her.
