This past Wednesday Governor Greg Abbott lifted the state-wide mask mandate, meant to protect people against contracting coronavirus, and educators and caregivers are the next in line to get the COVID-19 inoculations. The governor’s actions, effective this coming Wednesday, leaves it up to local communities and school districts about whether to ditch the face coverings. Under the mandate, people were supposed to wear masks in public if they are less than six feet from another person.
