The Dawson County Sheriff’s Department did not have any complaints this past year from anyone claiming they had been stopped or searched based on racial profiling. That’s according to a report by Sheriff Matt Hogg which was presented Tuesday to the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday and filed with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Hogg noted that, as required by state law, the local sheriff’s office has been collecting data on traffic stops and searches since 2002.
