Bobby G. Mitchell

    Graveside service for Bobby G. Mitchell will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Harris Evans officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Masks and social distancing are required at funeral home and cemetery.
    Bob was born April 7, 1936 to Earnest and Juanita (Dossey) Mitchell in Lamesa, Texas.  He graduated in 1954 from Klondike High School. He was a farmer all his life and enjoyed fishing.  He enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Jo Mitchell; children, Manda Gaskins and husband, Van, of Knott, Staci Howard and husband, Todd, of Lamesa and Mitch Mitchell and wife, Jana, of Shallowater; sister, Lavon Tuckness and husband, Jim, of Paul, Idaho; brother-in-law Earl Madding of Lubbock, brother-in-law Rex Barton and wife, Anita, of Plano, sister-in-law Faye Thurman of Houston; grandchildren, Brad Horton and wife, Kristy, of Lamesa, Shayla Cozart and husband, Will, of Klondike, Weston Mitchell and wife, Tory, of Shallowater, Carson Mitchell and wife, Jennifer, of Shallowater, Kiley Howard of Lubbock, Taylor Gully and husband, Tyler, of San Angelo, and Dillon Mitchell of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Taylor and Tynslee Horton, Landree, Walker and Hadlee Cozart and Macee Mitchell; and a host of nieces and nephews. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Earnestine Madding; two infant sisters; son-in-law, Danny Horton; and infant granddaughter, Jenny Jo Horton.
