Sands’ state-ranked girls and boys basketball teams rolled to lopsided District 8-1A hoop victories Tuesday night over Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy. Sands’ girls swept the District 8-1A hoop crown for the second year in a row after blowing out Midland TLCA, 64-7. Ranked 10th in the state, the Mustang girls are 22-2 this season and 10-0 in league play.
